Only 13 Pakistanis made it into Stanford University’s top 2% scientists, trailing 144 Pakistani students on the previous year’s list. Surprisingly, according to Stanford University, all 13 Pakistani scientists from Islamia University Bahawalpur are among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.
Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar, Professor Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Chairman of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology; Chairman of the Department of Green Healthcare System; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Practice Professor Dr. Zaheer Abbas of the Department of Mathematics, Associate Professor Dr. Ismat Bibi, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Altaf are among the 13 Pakistani scientists from Islamia University.
Deans and the Director of ORIC, as well as Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, congratulated him on this award. It is worth noting that Stanford University produces an annual rating of the top 2000 scientists in the world, split down by field. This list lately contains a substantial number of academics and researchers from Islamia University of Bahawalpur, demonstrating the university’s excellent grade of global research.
Last year, Stanford University in California named 144 Pakistanis among the top 2% of scientists in the world. Stanford University is one of the world’s leading research and education institutions.

One of those named is Ashraf Mohammad Yasin of the University of Lahore. R. Ellahi of International Islamic University in Islamabad; T. Hayat of Quaid-i-Azam University; and Muhammad Aslam Noor of COMSATS University in Islamabad. Noreen Sher, a student at Pakistan’s University of Sciences and Technology, Akbar Sohail Nadeem is a Quaid-i-Azam University student. Abdul Wahid is a student at the Faisalabad University of Agriculture.
Gilani, Anwarul Hassan from The Aga Khan University and Khan, M. Ijaz from Riphah International University were also present. Chohan, Zahid Hussain from the Southern Punjab Institute, Ahmad, Mushtaq from Quaid-i-Azam University. Briddon, R. W. of Pakistan’s National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering is on the list.
