He speeds up his bike and crashes into a sidewalk in an attempt to avoid being robbed.
According to SSP, the deceased’s partner was given the remaining cash by police.
According to authorities, the man died after hitting a pavement while driving in an attempt to avoid the robbers. And, as witnesses crowded around the victim after the collision, one of them took money from his pocket.
Mohammad Hanif, a shopkeeper, was walking back from a bank with a friend after withdrawing Rs. 1 million when the incident occurred within the confines of the Gabol Town Police Station in North Karachi.
Hanif on his way suspected that some robbers were following him, so he rode his bike at a higher speed to escape them but ended up hitting a pavement at Nagan Chowrangi, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Maroof Usman.
According to SSP Usman, Hanif died on the spot. Furthermore, some witnesses who came nearby after the accident stole Rs300,000 from the deceased’s pocket.
A first information report (FIR) has been filed, and the remainder of Rs700,000 has been transferred to Hanif’s partner, the SSP claimed.
According to the police official, an investigation into the event has been launched, and CCTV cameras are being used to assist in the identification of the man who stole the money.
