Aur Sunao - Again, Court Orders Ace To Arrest Rana Sana

In a corruption case, a Rawalpindi court ordered the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) to jail and produce Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah before the court.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) was directed by a Rawalpindi court on Monday to detain Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and bring him before the court in a corruption case. The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) sought to have the minister labelled a proclaimed offender, but the court dismissed their request.

Last Monday, Special Judicial Magistrate Rawalpindi Ghulam Akbar issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the interior minister.

In an effort to comply with the court’s instruction, a delegation from the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) approached the Islamabad Police after the warrant was issued. However, the group returned empty-handed and informed the court of the Islamabad police’s refusal to cooperate.

The Islamabad Police, according to an ACE statement, rejected to assist in the arrest of the interior minister. The cops allegedly misbehaved with them when they arrived at the Secretariat Cops Station in the federal capital to arrest the minister.

The police even failed to keep track of the anti-corruption team’s arrival and departure. According to the ACE statement, Our vehicles were also thrown out of the police station. According to a statement from the capital police, the formal arrest warrant was obtained at the police station, but the ACE Punjab refused to provide the record. The arrival and departure timings of the squad were also noted.

In accordance with protocol, the ACE was directed to enrol in the legal course. The ACE, on the other hand, did not form a firm view. According to ACE, the owner of the Bismillah Housing Scheme in Kallar Kahar provided two plots totaling 10 Kanals as a favour to Punjab’s then-law minister and current interior minister Rana Sanaullah. The plots were sold to him for pennies on the dollar by the housing society.

According to the most recent development, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab was accused of “forging” the records of a four-year-old case, prompting the interior minister to submit a court complaint. The Interior Ministry’s spokesperson stated in a statement that ACE, acting as Imran Khan’s agent, purposely concealed information on a four-year-old case in order to urge the court to issue an arrest warrant for Sanaullah.

The spokesperson called it illegal and alleged that, in addition to the warrant, ACE Punjab is concealing the case files from Islamabad Police. He claimed that the ministry has decided to penalise the personnel who falsified the records and deceived the court.

The federal interior minister respects the court and follows its orders, according to the spokesperson, adding that all the prima facie evidence of forgery and fraud linked to the case has been obtained.
