According to his daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, has post-Covid health difficulties. Her father, she explained, had not been present for disaster relief due to poor health.
Zardari’s oldest daughter announced on Twitter late Wednesday that her father has various health concerns because he was earlier diagnosed with COVID-19. She stated that the water had returned to his lungs.
She went on to explain an operation the PPP leader underwent in Karachi to remove extra water from his lungs.
According to Bakhtawar, who provided updates on her father’s condition, her father was not physically able to assist with the flood rescue activities. However, she said that the former president has children who are traveling to the flood-affected areas and providing assistance in his stead.
She concluded the post by expressing gratitude to everyone who sent prayers and words of worry for her father.
After his health deteriorated, Zardari was taken to a private hospital in Karachi’s Clifton neighborhood on September 27.
After the lungs were repaired, he was evaluated by a medical team led by Dr. Asim Hussain.
