The well-known South Korean band BTS made history when the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) certified their collaboration hit My Universe as platinum.
BPI recognised BTS’s hit collaborative song My Universe as platinum after selling 600,000 copies.
With their most recent achievement, BTS became the second artist in the UK to obtain platinum certification, following Dynamite, who achieved it in August 2021.
The song “My Universe,” written by Coldplay and BTS, will be released on September 24, 2021.
The song achieved a silver certification in the UK less than two months after its premiere. After selling 400,000 copies, My Universe was awarded a gold certification in March 2022.
