Bus Fire: At Least 11 People Were Killed Near Nooriabad

A passenger bus caught fire near Nooriabad in Sindh’s Jamshoro district on Wednesday, killing at least 11 passengers and injuring many more, authorities.

The vehicle was entirely devoured by flames in videos posted on DawnNewsTV.

According to Nooriabad Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Wajid Thaheem, eight of the eleven dead recovered inside the vehicle were children.

He claimed that one was a lady and the other two were men. They belonged to the Mughairi community and were on their way from Karachi to Khairpur Nathan Shah.

According to the officer, the fire was triggered by a malfunction with the coach’s air conditioning system, and the bodies and injured people were sent to Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro.

Meanwhile, Edhi volunteers have arrived on the spot to assist with rescue and relief activities.

After learning about the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed the deputy commissioner of Jamshoro to dispatch ambulances immediately.

In a statement, he requested that “the injured victims be transferred to the hospital as soon as possible, and the government provide all forms of assistance to the families.”

CM Murad has also requested a report on the incident’s investigation.
