According to a statement made on Tuesday, Careem has completed 1 billion ride-hailing journeys in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan.
According to the firm, Careem drivers have gone more than 80 cities and more than 9 billion kilometers in the last ten years. Egypt came in third with 299 million rides, while Saudi Arabia came in second with 242 million (230 million).
A single ride in Saudi Arabia from Riyadh to Jazan covered 1,113 kilometers in 2020. A 200-meter excursion was the shortest single ride in Lahore.
The ride-hailing company claims to have over 50 million registered users, 2.5 million registered drivers, and more than $4 billion in total earnings. A Careem driver in Jordan has taken the most rides ever recorded, 35,139. A Careem user in Saudi Arabia has ordered the most rides, at almost 9,500.
Reaching the wonderful milestone of 1 billion rides is due to the hard work of our captains [drivers] and colleagues, as well as the trust that our customers have placed in us, said CEO and co-founder of Careem Mudassir Sheikha in a statement.
