BLACKPINK, a popular South Korean girl group, has been nominated for the first time in the 2023 BRIT Awards.
BLACKPINK was nominated for “International Group of the Year” when the BRIT Awards announced their 2023 nominations on Friday.
BLACKPINK will compete in the pop music scene against artists such as Drake, 21 Savage, First Aid Kit, Fontaines DC, and Gabriels.
The quartet is the first K-pop girl group to get a “International Group of the Year” nomination. BTS was the first K-pop artist to be nominated for two consecutive years at the UK Awards in 2021 and 2022, however he or she did not win.
The 2023 BRIT Awards will be held on February 12, and it is one of the most prominent events in the United Kingdom (UK).
