Aur Sunao - Government Notifies Officially Ramadan Timings For Offices

The federal government has formally declared the hours of operation for all government agencies for Ramadan, which begins soon. The altered times will take effect on the start of Ramadan, which is expected to be March 23.

The Cabinet Secretariat has formally declared that government offices would be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, the government buildings will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.

This is the official statement.

Muslims throughout the world are preparing to observe Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. Throughout this month, Muslims fast from sunrise to dusk and break their fast with iftar in the evening.

All federal government offices will henceforth be open from 7.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, according to a high-level meeting presided over by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar last week.

The meeting also determined that government offices will close on Friday at 12.30 p.m. The federal government just announced somewhat different, albeit one week later, timelines.
