The Marvels, the Captain Marvel sequel, will raise the bar for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Marvels, one of the year’s most anticipated films, boasts some of the industry’s top actors. Two of The Marvels’ excellent main actors will make their franchise debuts in a Marvel Disney+ series, a first for the MCU.
Characters from the MCU’s Phase 4 have only been introduced through Disney+ shows, altering the tale. While Disney+ characters have appeared in previous films, very few of them have been billed as the main characters.
The Marvels is a huge step forward for the MCU because it has two leading actors who made their movie debuts in Marvel Disney+ series.
Teyonah Parris, who plays Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan, are two of the more fascinating newcomers to the MCU. While Parris first appeared in WandaVision in 2021, Vellani made her television debut in 2022 in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
The cast members of the aforementioned Disney+ series will make their MCU debut in the upcoming feature The Marvels, which will be a first.
South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon appears in an unidentified role in The Marvels, alongside Brie Larson as Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zawe Ashton as the major adversary, and Vellani and Parris. The Marvels is set to have its theatrical debut on November 10, 2023.
