Iftikhar Ahmed became the first Pakistani batter to break the previous record for the most sixes hit in Australia.
Ahmed scored 51 runs off 34 balls against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), hitting four sixes in the process.
Prior to this, Ahmed had smashed three sixes in Canberra.
Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, was successful in hitting two sixes in Sydney in 2019, while Kamran Akmal was also successful in scoring the same number of sixes in Sydney in 2010.
