According to authorities, the incident occurred in Karachi near the Gora Qabristan (Christian cemetery). The victims were Italians on business in Pakistan for a European building supplies company.
They had left their automobile parked outside a business and gone to a meeting when the incident occurred. According to the police, three computers, a handbag, and other valuables were also stolen from the automobile.
