The national cricket team has landed in Christchurch, New Zealand, for a triangular series against Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand.
The 16-member squad, which also comprised 13 team staff members, flew for New Zealand on Sunday night after playing the last game of the home series against England, which culminated in the visitors’ surprise triumph in Lahore.
The Green Shirts will resume practice on Thursday, October 6, after a day of rest. The tri-series begins on October 7 with a match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, followed by the series finale on October 14. The tri-series will be played entirely in Christchurch.
Those competing in the ICC T20 World Cup will fly directly from Pakistan to Australia.
Following the tri-series, Pakistan’s squad will play in the much-anticipated blockbuster T20 competition before returning to Australia on October 15 for the World Cup 2022.
The players will exercise on October 17 and 19 in preparation for their World Cup games.
The T20 World Cup will begin on October 16 with the first qualifying games involving Group A countries Sri Lanka and Namibia, as well as UAE and Netherlands.
