Peugeot To Introduce Electric 3008 And 5008 SUVs with a Range of 700km

The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 vehicles from the next generation will go on sale in the second half of 2023.

The E-3008 and E-5008 are two cutting-edge new variants that run on batteries. The E-3008 will be the first spacecraft launched and built on the STLA medium platform.

In the future, Stellantis Group EVs will employ it as one of four “BEV-by-design” platforms. The platform can support both internal combustion engines and electric power trains.

According to sources, E-3008 will have an electron range of up to 700 kilometres.

The capacity of the battery packs range from 87 to 104 kWh. It also offers three electric powertrains, one of which has two motors.

Furthermore, Peugeot has proclaimed its intention to develop a new hybrid technology based on a mild-hybrid 48V unit. These units will be included in versions 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and 408.

The primary goal of the company is to sell every BEV by 2030. The BEV lineup is currently restricted to all-electric vehicles. The primary goal of the company is to provide clean, sustainable transportation.

Peugeot noted that “the two SUVs are explicitly designed as EVs,” but recognised that in regions where EV adoption is slower, different drivetrain solutions would be required. However, the STLA medium architecture is versatile enough to allow hybrid drivetrains.

Stellantis is sticking to its schedule by announcing the first STLA BEV under the Peugeot brand, even though the “STLA medium” AMD STLA large is still on the way. These platforms are intended for passenger vehicles in the C, D, and E segments.

Linda Jackson, Peugeot’s CEO, revealed the five EVs the company plans to introduce by 2025. This will include an E-308 SW electric waggon.

Peugeot benefits from the Wagon’s present small size. In the hatch and waggon, a new 154 horsepower (156 PS/115 kW) electric motor will be installed. The company guarantees a range of more than 249 miles while remaining completely efficient.

The E-308 hatchback and E-408 are two further automobiles that the company hopes to have available by 2025. Peugeot claims that the new engines are 15% more efficient than the old ones.

It can run on electricity for 0.6 miles at a time. Furthermore, it allows a car like the 3008 to travel in cities on electric power for nearly half of the time.

Unfortunately, Peugeot adopted the electrification strategy in order to reach their aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2038. In this manner, the electric battery life of the car will be extended to 20 to 25 years.
