Aur Sunao - PFUJ Wants An Investigation Into Arshad Sharif's Death

The president of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Afzal Butt, demanded on Monday that the government investigate the death of renowned journalist and former ARY News presenter Arshad Sharif in Nairobi, Kenya.

In an interview with ARY News, the PFUJ president expressed his condolences for Arshad Sharif’s untimely death and demanded that the Pakistani government conduct an investigation.

The State of Pakistan, according to Afzal Butt, is in charge of conducting an investigation, and the results should be made public.

He also asked the federal government to make arrangements for senior journalist Arshad Sharif’s remains to be returned to Pakistan for funeral rites.

The seasoned journalist accepted martyrdom after being involved in an accident on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya.

Kenyan police verified his death and initiated an inquiry into the accident, which most likely involved a shooting.

Arshad Sharif was a well-known journalist and news caster in Pakistan. Arshad’s final significant television appearance was on the ARY News show Powerplay.

He had previously worked for several of the country’s most prominent news organisations. He was awarded the “Presidential Pride of Performance” award in 2019 for his great journalism.
