Pakistan’s Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has invited Chinese companies to capitalise on the country’s investment opportunities in the industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital economy sectors.
He said in an article published on the Global Times website on Sunday that Pakistan could serve as China’s manufacturing base as well as an extension of its industrial and supply chain networks.
The prime minister emphasised that the second phase of the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement should be fully utilised, and industrial cooperation should be strengthened.
According to the prime minister, the two countries may expand their bilateral cooperation to encourage corporate farming, effective water usage, the development of hybrid seeds and high-yield crops, and the establishment of cold storage networks.
