Second Part Of “Dune” Is Set To Be Released In Early 2023

Dune: Part Two will be released in theatres earlier than expected. The film is the sequel to 2021’s Dune, which adapted the first half of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi classic novel.

The highly anticipated sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic will now be released in theatres on November 3, 2023, rather than November 17, as previously announced on Tuesday, October 11.

The picture has taken the place of Marvel’s Blade, which has been pushed out to September 6, 2024.

As a result of Disney temporarily suspending pre-production on their Blade film, “Warner Bros. responded quickly and announced that Dune: Part Two will slide into the spot once occupied by Blade on November 3, 2023,” according to The Collider.

The ensemble cast of Villeneuve’s forthcoming sequel includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgrd, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux.

The script was written by Jon Spaihts, Eric Roth, and Villeneuve.

Before the second film was formally accepted, Villeneuve told Variety at the Toronto Film Festival in 2021 that a sequel would be “an insane playground for me.”

According to Villeneuve, the second instalment will be “pure cinematic delight.” “Reuniting everyone would be nirvana,” I’ll remark, without claiming to speak for the full production crew. On this project, we truly created a sense of family.
