The upcoming film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is in legal trouble when Tamil producer Manickam Narayanan filed a lawsuit accusing it of plagiarizing.
The Tamil Film Producers Council assisted in the case’s filing (TFPC). Jawan, according to the creator, is a carbon copy of Vijayakanth’s 2006 film Perarasu. Narayanan, according to speculations, is the rightful proprietor of the film’s plot.
According to the Times of India, the TFPC will continue to investigate the case after November 7th, 2022.
In the film Perarasu, actor Vijayakanth plays two characters: Perarasu and Ilavarasu, who are identical twins. Khan will also play two roles in Atlee’s Jawan, according to sources. Jawan’s authors have yet to share any information on the subject.
Jawan also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Yogi Babu, Nayanthara, and other Tamil actors. With this film, Atlee will also make his directorial debut in the Bollywood film industry.
The film, starring SRK, is set to have its global debut on June 2, 2023. PinkVilla reports that the film will be released in a number of languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
