The Sindh Health Department acknowledged the discovery of the BF-7 sub-variant of the Covid-19 on Tuesday in Karachi.
The Sindh Health Department confirmed the extremely contagious corona sub-variant BF-7 in Karachi. “This sub-variant of the Omicron version of the coronavirus has lately infected patients on a large scale in China,” according to the department.
“It is the first instance of the exceedingly contagious corona sub-variant BF-7 reported in Pakistan,” according to provincial health officials.
In Karachi, the Sindh Health Department has already recognised the Omicron sub-variants XBB and XBB-1.
Six cases of the rare Covid-19 strain were detected in Karachi, according to a prior announcement from the health department.
Previously, medical practitioners urged patients to see a doctor if they felt ill. “Those who are ill have been urged to use face masks and avoid public areas,” the letter says.
