Aur Sunao - Sindh Literature Festival Will Begin At Arts Council On March 3 For Three Days

President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Mohammad Ahmed Shah, well-known novelist Noorul Huda Shah, and others announced at a press conference held at Auditorium II Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, that the sixth three-day Sindh Literary Festival will begin on March 3 and end on March 5.

The festival season is currently underway, according to Ahmed Shah at a press conference. The first event was organised by the Arts Council Karachi sixteen years ago.

He said that the only thing that can bring us together at a centre is culture, and that Sindh, with Karachi as its capital, is our starting point. There had never been a celebration before, and Karachi’s general conditions were deplorable at the time.

Noorul Huda Shah expressed her delight at the festival’s continuous organisation, adding that despite the challenges, it is a positive thing. It’s wonderful that the younger generation is actively engaging in this event, she said, adding that Ahmad Shah fully supports it.

The festival will take place at the Arts Council from March 3 to March 5.

This year’s festival theme is “Climate Change,” and Sheikh Ayaz’s birthday will also be celebrated.

Three days of sittings and talks on various topics will be held, as well as a recital by young poets.

They argued that, while all Sindhi languages are represented, including Urdu, Punjabi, and Saraiki this year, it is not the Sindh Literary Festival.

Session topics include Technology startups, International Women’s Day, and transgender problems.

The event will be inaugurated on March 3 at 4:00 p.m. by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Provincial Minister of Education and Culture Syed Sardar Ali Shah.

Mushaira and the great poet Shaikh Ayaz will celebrate their 100th birthday on the second day of sessions.
