  • The extended march schedule is expected to be released this week by Khan.
  • The administration prepares to deal with disruption as a long march is expected.

According to sources, over 6,000 Sindh police officers, 90 platoons, and 2,667 Frontier Corps (FC) men arrived in Islamabad on their vehicles on Monday, before to the PTI’s long march in the federal capital.

The announcement comes ahead of the PTI’s lengthy march, which the party says would begin when chairman Imran Khan reveals the timeline on either Thursday or Friday.

According to sources, FC personnel have been lodged in the courtyard of the Faisal Mosque, while police personnel have been housed at the Haji Camp.

On October 22, Khan claimed at a press conference with Senator Azam Swati that he will announce the date for his “Haqeeqi Azadi March” on Thursday or Friday. He also pleaded with the authorities not to obstruct the march.

The government had already asked the Supreme Court to terminate the PTI’s long march. The Khan-led party earned a boost when the Supreme Court declined to issue an interim order halting the PTI’s planned long march.

Before resorting to the Supreme Court, the administration repeatedly warned Khan, with a top official threatening to multiply the May 25 policy by ten if Khan announced another long march.

According to Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, the federal administration has devised a comprehensive strategy to prevent the PTI long march from accessing the federal capital.
