Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by six wickets in the opening game of the Twenty20 World Cup in Perth. This victory gave Pakistan their first point of the competition.

Pakistan reached their target in 13.5 overs, whereas the Netherlands needed 20 overs to reach 91/9.

Pakistan took the lead early on thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi’s goal, and they remained the dominant team throughout the match.

For their respective sides, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf each took one wicket. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf’s bouncer hit Bas de Leede in the head, forcing him to exit the game. As a result, he was unable to continue playing the game.
