WhatsApp Video Calls Now Support Picture In Picture

After debuting the feature on the iOS beta version 22.24.0.79, WhatsApp is now rolling out picture-in-picture capability for video calls in a stable update for everyone. The update is now available to all users of the most recent iOS version of WhatsApp.

According to the app’s official changelog, the picture-in-picture option is now available for use during video conversations, allowing for uninterrupted multitasking. To see if the feature is available on your WhatsApp account, make a video call.

This update also includes new features such as the ability to annotate documents, which makes it easier to explain your groups, as well as larger group subject and description lengths (first provided with the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.3.0.70 upgrade). These features first appeared on Android a few weeks ago.

Please keep in mind that not all accounts will have immediate access to the new features. Accounts may begin acquiring new capabilities in the following weeks, according to the official changelog. We recommend that you update WhatsApp from the App Store and the TestFlight app on a regular basis to ensure that you get the most recent enhancements and features.

If you don’t see the functionality after updating to the most recent version, wait because it is a slow rollout. It will ultimately go to your device.

In addition, WhatsApp is working on voice note transcriptions for iOS and Android, as well as 2 GB file uploads. For the time being, only beta versions of these functionalities are accessible.
