A new WhatsApp update will soon allow users to create stickers directly from the app.
It is not yet ready for testing by beta users because it is currently in the process of being developed. With this new update, users will be able to quickly generate stickers from their images. This feature, according to WaBetaInfo, “uses iOS 16 APIs to extract a subject straight out of an image and then automatically converts it into a sticker in the app.”
The sticker tool will be included on the conversation sharing action sheet. Through this function, users will be able to select a photo from their gallery and WhatsApp will present them with various editing options, including the option to remove the backdrop.
Users will enjoy a more native sticker-making experience because no third-party programs will be required.
This feature is available in both WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop. However, when this feature is made available to iOS users, they will be provided with additional tools.
