SUKKUR: PDM leader Maulana Fazal ur Rehman claimed on Monday that only persons in positions of authority have the ability to pick who will be the future commander of the Pakistan Army.

Fazl told reporters that the PTI’s protest march is unlikely to achieve its goal because it has become a protracted march that is progressing slowly toward the federal capital.

The head of the JUI-F said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was arranging the long march in order to choose the army chief of his choice. However, he continued, nominations to the top army posts will be made in conformity with the Constitution’s system.

He claimed that the former prime minister damaged the economy during his three-and-a-half-year tenure and is now attempting to recover power, something the PDM will never allow.

According to the PDM leader, Khan attempted another coup under the pretext of the “Haqeeqi Azadi March.”

He stated that the coalition government was working hard to address the country’s economic issues and prevent the country from going bankrupt.

According to the PDM leader, despite the Saudi crown prince’s promises to visit Pakistan with large projects, Khan created barriers by initiating the march, and they are now attempting to persuade him to come.

Fazl went on to say that the seriousness of the accusations leveled against PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif by a person in London demanded an investigation.

Despite being in Islamabad for 15 days, he stated that “nothing was destroyed” during the lengthy march his group arranged.

Meanwhile, speaking at the Paigham-e-Jamiat Conference in Shikarpur, he stated that the JUI-F will undertake reforms in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah and make the nation’s economic system interest-free.

According to him, the JUI-F has planned an ulema summit in Karachi for November 30 to build an interest-free banking system. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi, Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro, and other JUI-F leaders delivered addresses at the convention.
