Pakistan’s economy has reached an all-time low. Importing a phone is too expensive due to the depreciation of our currency and the massive tax load.
Mid-range phones cost more than Rs. 100,000, whereas flagship phones cost Rs. 300,000 or more. Retail prices are out of this world, and having to pay for PTA approvals adds to the cost.
Yet, a recent update should make things a little easier for the general public.
Only some handsets are eligible for PTA clearance installment payments via Bank Alfalah’s online marketplace Alfa Mall. The iPhone 13, all iPhone 14 series phones, and the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra are among these devices.
The overall Price cost of these phones ranges from Rs. 130,000 to Rs. 190,000, however they may be paid off with no interest over a period of 3 to 6 months. Simply choose an installment payment option, provide your CNIC number and the IMEI code of your phone, and you’re done.
The PTA approval process could take up to 3-5 working days. In addition to sending you an email, the merchant will phone you to confirm your approval.
