Atlas Honda, Pakistan’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, announced a third price rise for its motorcycles in 2023.
The bikes’ prices have recently risen by Rs7,000-25,000.
Prices have been raised as a result of continued fluctuations in the value of the Pakistani rupee relative to all other major currencies, primarily the US dollar, as well as growing manufacturing costs.
The new prices went into effect on March 3.
Last month, Atlas Honda increased the price of motorcycles by between Rs9,000 and Rs35,000. Earlier in January, the company upped the price of motorcycles by Rs7,400 to Rs30,000.
The ongoing economic crisis has had a significant impact on Pakistan’s automobile industry, owing to difficulty in granting letters of credit as a result of rapidly dwindling foreign exchange reserves and a weakening rupee.
