ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imarn Khan is claimed to have been held on the grounds of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) amid heightened tension and strict security.
According to the most recent information gathered by MM News, the PTI Chairman was apprehended as a huge detachment of Rangers encircled his vehicle as he entered the Islamabad High Court to seek bail in two cases.
According to Fawad Chaudhry, a prominent PTI politician, Rangers “occupied” the Islamabad High Court, tortured lawyers, and surrounded Khan’s vehicle.
A local journalist shared a video showing Khan’s bodyguards being badly beaten in what was apparently “torture by Rangers.”
Other videos on the internet show Rangers officers destroying the IHC’s glass windows, grabbing Khan by the collar, and rushing him away.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq called the IG of Islamabad and the Secretary of the Interior within 15 minutes of Khan’s detention from the IHC grounds, threatening to summon the prime minister if they did not appear.
A little more than an hour later, an internet arrest warrant claiming Khan had been detained by NAB in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case appeared.
